birthday blooms

Welcome to my crafty blog, and another one of the new stamps from Julie Hickey Designs – the ‘daisy blooms’. This is such a pretty image – just what I needed for the new theme at The Paper Players and it worked beautifully with the colours from Just Us Girls

I strated with a piece of Stampin’ Up!’s ‘very vanilla’ card and stamped the ‘daisy blooms’ onto it with black Archival ink. I then used a waterbrush to add ‘bundled sage’ Distress Oxide to the leaves & flower centres and ‘kitsch flamingo’ to the petals.

I brushed a little of the ‘bundled sage’ around the edge of the card, then attached it to a 5×7 card blank that I’d also made from the ‘very vanilla’ cardstock.

I stamoed the sentiment onto a scrap piece fo ‘very vanilla’, then cut it out using one of Julie’s new ‘dinky rectangle’ dies. I brushed ‘bundled sage’ around the edge and popped it on the card front with foam pads. A few pink Glossies finished the whole thing off.

Thanks for dropping in. It’s been a busy old day today, although I did manage to do an online class wiht Joanne James this morning. It’s not over yet, though, as I’m about to head out for an evening meeting. See you tomorrow!
