Hello crafty friends. I’ve had a quick play today with a brand new set of stamps from the fabulous Julie Hickey – the ‘daisy buttons’ set. I’ve only just got them, but I think you’ll be seeing a lot more of them over the next few weeks. This one is sat firmly in my CAS comfort zone – I took inspiration from the photo at Just Add Ink, together with the right hand diagonal of green/colouring/button from TicTacToe‘s grid. I know there isn’t an actual button on this card, but given the name of the stamp set I’m hoping that will count!

I started by stamping the larger ‘button’ from the set onto a square of white card in ‘rustic wilderness’ Distress Oxide and then heat embossed it with clear powder.

I then coloured in the leaves and the centres of the flowers with a green pencil. I cut a mask using one of Julie’s circle dies, covered the image and brushed ‘rustic wilderness’ around it.

I finished by stamping one fo the sentiments from the set, again in ‘rustic wilderness’ and heat embossed it with the clear powder. I added a few of the little triplet dots, ran a black Sharpie around the edge of the card and attached it to a 5×5 card blank.

Thanks for dropping in. I’ve been at the funeral of a friend’s mum this afternoon – there seem to have been too many of these lately, but I suspect that probably reflects my age!
This is such a lovely clean, delicate design Deborah. The subtle background colour really highlights the image. Thanks for sharing at Just Add Ink.

Such a sweet and pretty design. Love how the circle has the blended ‘shadow’ behind it to help it pop. Lovely take on the challenge inspiration pic. Thanks for playing along with us at Just Add Ink.
