Welcome to my crafty blog. Well after yesterday’s cards with the latest stamp & stencil from Clarity’s Craft Club, I’m back with my Sunday dip into previous years and this week it’s ‘Santa’s Christmas delivery’ from November 2018. Another one that hadn’t seen the light of day until now, but in my defence I was still recovering from my broken shoulder back then! It’s not my usual style of stamp, but does give me another in the bank for Christmas 2022.
I started by stamping the image in black Archival onto an offcut of white card, and gthen coloured it in with Pergaliner pencils. I have to say, now I’ve learned to add shading properly thanks to Barbara Gray’s online lessons in Clarity’s SHAC shack, it’s a very therapuetic way to spend time on a Sunday afternoon. Obviously, Santa is riding Rudolph so his nose is appropriately coloured!

I then cut a strip of ‘Amazonia’ designer paper and attached it to the bottom of an A6 card blank. I then stamped the snowflake corners from the ‘Clarity Charity trees’ set in ‘speckled egg’ Distress Oxide, and also blended it around the edge to soften the white card blank.

I also blended the ‘speckled egg’ around the edge of the topper with Santa & Rudolph and edged it with a black Sharpie. A torn piece of copy paper with a sponge & black Archival created the ground they’re standing on. I attached the topper to the card front on foam pads and finished with a Clarity word sticker.

Thanks for dropping in. I hope you’ve had a good weekend and are ready for the week ahead. I’m off to share this card with a couple of challenges. I used the sketch from Fusion for the layout (rotated through 90 degrees) and the theme of ‘cute’ from Time Out

I like it!
