Hello crafty friends. I’m back today with another Easter card – trying to get myself well organised for next month! This one uses a couple of retired sets from Stampin’ Up! (‘hold onto hope’ and ‘gift of hope’) with the colour palette from the current challenge at TGIF.

I started by stamping the wreath from ‘gift of hope’ in ‘potting soil’ Archival ink (I don’t have the SU ink colours in the challenge, so have gone for the nearest matches). I used a waterbrush to add colour to the flowers and leaves with ‘picked raspberry’, ‘mustard seed’ and ‘walnut stain’.

I then stamped the cross from ‘cross of hope’ to nestle within the wreath. I used a torn piece of paper and a sponge to add ‘walnut stain’ along the base so that it was sitting on the ground.

I added the Bible verse from ‘gift of hope’ next to the cross and then mounted the card onto a piece of yellow before attaching it to a 6×6 card blank.

I really like the texture on this cross stamp and was very pleased with how the card turned out, so I decided to carry on while I was in the zone and made several more in different colourways. Here’s a few of them…

These are just beautiful!
