Hello crsfty friends. I’m back in my happy place today with this CAS card using one of my favourite sets from Claritystamp – the ‘birdhouse garden’. I immediately thought of the fab little cat when I saw the ‘feline’ theme from Addicted to CAS. He also fits Just Us Girls‘ word week, ‘lucky’, which is what black cats are supposed to be. I’ve picked up the ‘curve’ word prompt from Inkspirational as well to complete the scene.

I started with a Clarity circle stencil on a square of smooth white card and brushed ‘speckled egg’ Distress Oxide around part of it. I then stamped the garden bush – I did ink it with the ‘speckled egg’ but think I picked up a sponge that had ‘iced spruce’ on it to even it out on the stamp, so the final result is a blend of the two!

I stamped the cat and the bird in black Archival ink, and added a little shadow under each of then with a piece of torn paper and a sponge.

I ran a black Sharpie around the edge of the card before attaching it to a 6×6 card blank, and finished with a Clarity word sticker.

Nice and easy – so often less is more!
Love this!

What a fabulous card design, Deborah! Maybe the cat is lucky but the bird better watch out. 😉 Thanks for sharing your card with us at Just Us Girls.
