Hello crafty friends and welcome to my Sunday dip back into Claritystamp’s Craft Club. This ‘ornate frame’ stamp is from October 2018, and I decided to use it to create a little scene with some of the ‘garden’ stamp set.
I started with a square of white card and stamped the frame in the centre using ‘potting soil’ Archival ink. I popped the hills mask over the top and brushed ‘bundled sage’ Distree Oxie onto the lower part of the card. I then used the other part of the mask to cover the ground and brushed ‘speckled egg’ into the sky.

I cut a mask for the frame by stamping the edges onto low tack tape and cutting each side out. I popped it inot place and stamped the tree using Distress Oxides in ‘mowed lawn’ and ‘walnut stain’. I added some flowers from the ‘wee foliage’ set in’mustard seed’ and ‘mowed lawn’.

I stamped the garden fork from the ‘garden’ set to sit across the corner of the frame and coloured it with a brown Pergaliner pen. The plant pot sat next to it – I shaded it using a Pergamonao blending nib to add ‘ripe persimmon’ and ‘dried marigold’ so that it looked like terracotta.

I finished by sitting one of the small birds on top of the garden fork and addded the flock of birds in the sky. The final touch was the sentiment from the ‘garden’ set, again stamped in ‘potting soil’, before ataching the whole piece to a 6×6 card blank.

I’ve got a few friends who are keen gardeners, who I was thinking of whilst making this card although it was actually inspired by a couple of challenges. I took the colours and the concept of the garden scene from the photo at The Card Concept. Festive Friday‘s inspo list celebrates World Planting Day on 20th March (no, I didn’t know either!), and I’ve incorporated flowers/plants, garden tools and encouragement from the list (although you can find green and birds in here as well!)

Oh so pretty! Love the sentiment, too!
