chocolate cupcake!

Welcome to my crafty blog and a calorie free cupcake -what’s not to like?! This one fits in perfectly with my weight loss plan. Stampin’ Up!’s ‘hello cupcake’ set was one of the first of theirs I bought a few years ago, and it’s definitely been a keeper. I immediately thought of it for the current challenge over at Fusion, as I could combine the photo and the sketch. I’ve also picked up the theme of ‘hearts’ from Addicted to CAS

I started by stamping and die cutting the cupcake elements, then glued them together.

I then masked off a panel on a 6×6 card blank, adding a circle mask onto it. I brushed ‘picked raspberry’ Distress Oxide across the panel, then repeat stamped the ‘sprinkles’ onto it in ‘espresso’ Adirondack ink.

I glued the cupcake into the gap and stamped the sentiment next to it, again in the ‘espresso’ ink. The final touch was to stamp some hearts from Julie Hickey’s ‘friendship flower’ set in ‘picked raspberry’.

That definitely looks good enough to eat! I’m extra happy today, as I’ve had two negative Covid tests so have escaped self-isolation without having to do the full 10 days. I had planned to go out for a walk, but the wonderful British weather decided otherwise and has been raining hard all day! Never mind – it’s the thought that counts!
