Welcome to my crafty blog. Just a quick card today – I haven’t got a lot of energy at the moment thanks to Covid and I’ve had online meetings all day! I went back to the new fern dies from Julie Hickey for a CAS card, using the sketch from CAS Colours and Sketches and the shades from Color Hues
I started by cutting a narrow frame in black card using Julie’s ‘layers, frames & banners’ set and attached it to the front of a 5×5 card blank. I then cut two small ferns and the slightly larger fronds (are they grasses?) from the ‘ferns’ die set in an offcut of Claritystamp’s designer paper. This piece was in lovely red tones, so perfect for Color Hues’ challenge. I glued the three die cuts onto the front of the card.
I finished by adding a Claritystamp word sticker in black, and a few red dots.
Thanks for dropping in. This sentiment completely sums up my situation at the moment – I can’t change it but I’m one day closer to hopefully exiting self-isolation on Sunday!
