wedding day celebrations

Welcome to my crafty blog, and another wedding card (trying to get my stocks built up!). This one uses the January Craft Club stencil from Claritystamp – I decided to expand my club membership this year to include the stencils, and this one is a great start. I’ve taken inspiration from a few challenges for this one. Festive Friday‘s theme is St Valentine’s Day and I’ve picked up red, pink and hearts from their list. I took the bottom row of flowers, fun fold & stencil from TicTacToe‘s grid and decided that the floral heart from Inkspirational‘s photo fitted the bill as well.

I decided to go with a gatefold card and cut two strips of card to fit the front panels. I blended Distress Oxides in ‘festive berries’ and ‘tattered rose’ through the stencil, centering it at the top and then offsetting the opposite sides on the lower part of the panels.

I ran a red Sharpie marker around the edge of each panels and then attached them to the front of the gatefold card.

I stencilled the floral heart onto the inside of the card as well, just using the ‘tattered rose’ to give a soft image.

I finished by stamping the sentiments in ‘festive berries’ onto a die cut topper, which I stuck to the left hand side of the card front. A few pink Glossies hearts were the final touch.

Thanks for dropping in. I was looking at the calendar and realised I need to get started on making Mother’s Day cards ready for next month – watch this space.
