Welcome to my crafty blog and a post with exciting news. The lovely team over at Color Throwdown have invited me to be their featured guest stamper on today’s new challenge! I have to confess, though, that I feel a bit of a fraud with this card as there’s not much stamping on it!

We’ve got a lovely palette to play with this week, and it struck me as perfect for a Valentine’s card. I started with a 6×6 kraft card blank, then cut the hearts aperture die from Claritystamp’s January 2020 Craft Club in white card. I’d remembered to put ‘Stick it’ on the back of the card before cutting it, so it was then easy to attach it to the front of the kraft card blank. I stamped the sentiment from Clarity’s ‘art nouveau’ set below it using ‘cranberry’ Adirondack ink.

I then cut two red hearts using the smallest of Clarity’s ‘nested hearts’ dies and glued them over two of the white ones on the main die cut. I finished with a few little pink hearts from a Lawn Fawn set that I’ve had for ages.

Come and join the fun at Color Throwdown with these great colours. I’m going to also share this card with TicTacToe challenge, as I incorporated the left hand column from this week’s grid – pink, valentine or heart (I’ve got both!), and white.

Congratulations on your DT spot – and a beautiful card to boot! Love the combination of diecuts – the main heart in white really allows the pinks and reds to shine! Thanks for playing along with us over at TicTacToe Challenge this week too!
