Hello crafty friends. Well, I’m back in my comfort zone with the next in my dip back into Claritystamp’s Craft Club, after last week’s chimps!

These calla lilies are so pretty and will work for weddings, birthdays – lots of occasions. This card is for a friend who is about to have surgery for cancer – always a difficult time, so I kept it very simple. I started by stamping the bouquet of lilies onto white card and coloured it with Spectrum Noir pencils. I just put a little touch of pink on the petals, blended it in with a Pergamano nib and then fussy cut them. I’m so grateful for Barbara Gray’s colouring lessons as part of Claritystamp’s SHAC Shack – I’d never have attempted this shading before her tuition!

I glued one of Clarity’s circle ‘doodle frame it’ dies onto a 5×5 card blank and added a strip of ‘Indian Summer’ designer paper in lovely pinks & purples.

The lilies sat across the edge of the paper strip, on foam pads – the paper colour picks out the shading on the petals. I added a simple sentiment in ‘watering can’ Archival ink to finish.

I’m going to share this with a couple of challenges that I took inspiration from. The colours are from Color Throwdown‘s current palette, and the design is based on Freshly Made Sketches‘s layout.
Beautiful! Love how you added just a hint of color to the calla lily image. Thanks for joining us for this week’s Color Throwdown!
