Hello crafty friends. It’s time for another letter over at the Alphabet Challenge and we’re now up to V. I’m excited to be hosting the challenge this time and I’ve chosen ‘vehicle’ – I thought it gave lots of options for everyone

I love the little car in Stampin’ Up!’s ‘coming home’ set – it reminds of a couple of VW Beetles we had years ago. I need to make some more children’s cards and so thought it would be ideal. I started with a 5×7 card blank, masked a frame and then used Claritystamp’s cloud mask and a blending brush to create a cloudy sky with ‘broken china’ Distress Oxide. I used the tree die from the co-ordinating ‘home together’ set to cut the top edge of a piece of green cardstock and then attached that to the lower part of the card front.

I then used the plain curved die to cut a narrow strip of black card for my road and attached that to the green piece. I stamped three cars. coloured them with SU blends in ‘poppy parade’ and ‘misty moonlight’ and then die cut them. They then sat on the road using foam pads.

I finished by stamping the sentiment onto a die cut banner and attached that to the card front.

So come and join us at Alphabet Challenge – we’d love to see what vehicles you use on your cards. In the meantime, I’m also going to share this over at Love to Craft challenge, where their theme is ‘anything goes’. I haven’t played along with them before, but no doubt will join in again.
Super cute!
