Hello crafty friends and welcome to the last day of my Christmas journey back through Claritystamp’s 2021 die Craft Club. Today it’s the ‘abstract snowflake’ from December, which arrived just before Christmas (so I don’t feel I have to apologise for not having used it before now!) It’s larger than the usual club dies, but that opens more possibilities with it.
I started by cutting the snowflake from a piece of ‘Antarctica’ designer paper. After finishing the card, I wished I’d used a piece with slightly darker shades, but that’ll be for next time!

I mounted it onto a square piece of Clarity’s double sided adhesive and trimmed down the bits that sat outside the edge of the snowflake. I then stuck it onto a 6×6 card blank and covered the front with ‘hint of blue’ Perga glitter. As well as adding lovely sparkle, this is a great way to stick down such an intricate die cut.

I just added a word sticker and a few Glossies stars to finish.

I’m going to share this one over at Inkspirational challenges – I thought the added sparkle makes the snowflake look very icy.

Whilst I’d got the die out, I decided to create some more thank you cards (you can never have too many!) I cut it out of another piece of ‘Antarctica’ paper, having put ‘Stick It’ adhesive sheet on the back first, and then cut it into four pieces. I used one of Julie Hickey’s ‘layers, frames & banners’ dies to cut a narrow frame which I cut in half. I attached that to a 5×5 card blank and added the die cut piece on the corner sitting flush to the frame. A stamped sentiment from the ‘art nouveau’ set and it was done.

I love the geometric look of these – no sign of the snowflake really! Thanks for coming with me on this trip back through this year’s craft club – normal blogging service will resume tomorrow!
Very pretty!
