a birthday bouquet

Hello crafty friends. I’ve been playing with a new stamp and die set from Stampin’ Up! – ‘Eden’s Garden’. I recently did an online class with Joanne James using this set – it’s really beautiful. This card picks up the sketch from Global Design Project with the colours from Colour INKspiration

May be an image of indoor and text that says 'Pale Papaya #113 Polished Pink Basic White Basic Black Gold USPIRATION CHALLE NGE'

I started with a piece of white card trimmed to fit a 5×7 card blank and blended ‘polished pink’ and ‘pale papaya’ ink onto the larger floral spray from the set before stamping it (I used SU’s write markers for this). I also added a couple of leafy sprays in the ‘pale papaya’.

I matted the white card onto a layer of black and added the die cut strip down the right hand side before attaching it to a 5×7 card blank. At this point I felt the flowers looked to be in too narrow a placement, so added a couple more little sprigs in ‘polished pink’ to balance it out. I also blended a little pink into the background of the flowers.

I then die cut the banner from the set in black card, but with just one floral end. I cut a narrow piece of white to layer on it and stamped the sentiment from SU’s ‘art gallery’ in the ‘polished pink’.

I finished by adding a few gold resin dots around the flowers.

Thanks for dropping in. Only a week to go until Christmas, but first I’m heading over to a friend’s this evening to watch the Strictly Come Dancing final – now I’m thinking this card should have more sequins on it!
