Claritystamp new design club lookback – candles #133

Hello crafty friends. It’s time for my weekly dip back into the Claritystamp new design club archive, and it’s a very timely one with the ‘candles’ stamp from November 2017. I was inspired watching Barbara Gray on The Craft Store TV channel this afternoon, so thought I’d team it up with one of their mixed texture backgrounds.

I started with the large stamp from the ‘dots and spots’ texture background set. I masked a border around a square of white card and then stamped it using ‘pumice stone’ Distress Oxide.

I stamped the candles in ‘fern green’ Archival ink and coloured them using Pergacolour pens.

I stamped the candles twice more onto a spare piece of card, then fussy cut the bow from each (one whole one and a second central part). I coloured them with a Pergacolour and then glued them onto the image to give the bow extra dimension. I mounted the topper onto a layer of green card and attached the whole piece to a 6×6 card blank.

I finished by adding one of Clarity’s word stickers and a few gold Glossies.

Thanks for dropping in. I’m going to share this offering over at Freshly Made Sketches as my layout picks up their sketch, and The Card Concept as it reflects the candles and greenery in their inspiration photo together with their colour palette.
