Claritystamp craft club lookback – jay bird

Hello crafty friends and welcome to my weekly dip back into Claritystamp’s Craft Club (formerly their new design club). This week I’ve reached the ‘jay bird’ stamp from October 2017 (another one that I have to confess hasn’t seen action until now!)

I started with Clarity’s ‘treescape’ stencil on a strip of white card and brushed Distress Oxides in ‘festive berries’, ‘chipped sapphire’ and ‘mustard seed’ across it before attaching the panel to a 6×6 card blank.

I stamped the jay bird onto a spare piece of card and coloured it with Spectrum Noir pencils before fussy cutting it. I then glued it onto the card panel.

I finished by adding the sentiment from Clarity’s ‘happy birday’ set – it seemed like the perfect fit!

Thanks for dropping in. I’m going to share this card with two current challenges – the colours are from Color Throwdown and the layout’s from CAS Colours and Sketches

  1. This is so effective Deborah! I shied away from those colours this week but your blended stencilled panel is the perfect backdrop for your jay. Thanks for sharing with us over at CAS Colours & Sketches this week!
