Welcome to my crafty blog and our new theme over at Alphabet Challenge. We’re now at the letter O, and Helen has chosen ‘outdoors’. I’ve gone with the stamp from Claritystamp’s craft club in April – love this little treescape.

I started by cutting a square into a piece of copy paper with a die to create a mask. I popped it on a 6×6 card blank and brushed Distress Oxides in ‘speckled egg’ and ‘bundled sage’ through it to give me the background.

I then sponged ‘bundled sage’ and ‘iced spruce’ onto the little landscape stamp and stamped it across the background. I added in a couple of birds with the stamp that also came as part of the craft club set.

I finished by die cutting a frame in white card with a couple of nested square dies. I stamped the sentiment on it and then attached it to the card front to frame the scene.

Nice and simple. Do come and join us at The Alphabet Challenge with your ‘outdoor’ themed cards – you’ve got until Thursday 4 November to play along. In the meantime, I’m also going to share this card at CASology, where their theme is ‘view’ and then I’m having a bloggy break for a few days while I visit my sister – see you next week.

So pretty!
