Welcome my crafty blog. Today’s card uses on of the Claritystamp ‘floral frame’ dies, which I thought was due an outing – as you know, I generally do more stamping and don’t often use die cuts as the main focus on my card. I’ve taken the layout from this week’s CAS Colours & Sketches challenge, but put a bit of a twist on it with the die cut images

I started by die cutting the shapes into a square of white card, which I then attached to a 6×6 card blank. I didn’t have a rectangle die the right size for the top aperture, so I used a square die and overlapped the second cut to get the right shape.

I then cut the floral frame out of a piece of ‘Antarctica’ designer paper, cutting the smaller one twice, and trimmed the shapes out of the frame. I attached the larger one inside the rectangle and put the two smaller ones across the bottom corners of the individual squares.

I stamped the sentiment inside the top aperture using ‘tenacious teal’ Artistry ink and then stamped the little butterfly (from the ‘blooming corner’ set) on a spare piece of card. I fussy cut it and glued him on the centre of the card.

Thanks for dropping in. I can’t believe it’s Friday already – I’ve got a busy weekend ahead of me as well and the highlight will be heading into London tomorrow to see ‘Mamma Mia’ at the theatre with a friend. Happy days!
Oh this is so fantastic! I love how you’ve used our sketch! Thanks so much for joining in at CC&S:)
