Welcome to my crafty blog, and some stamps from Claritystamp that I’ve had for a while but only recently started to use – the ‘hats 2’ set. I thought it would work well with the inspiration photo from Time Out challenges, and the colours from Just Us Girls were ideal.

I started with one of my inky backgrounds, which helpfully was in pink and green, and brushed a bit more green across the bottom using ‘iced spruce’ Distress Oxide.

I then stamped the three smaller heads from the set using black Archival ink. Clarity helpfully have pre-cut reusable masks with their stamp sets – I stamped the two to the left and right first, then masked them off to stamp the girl with the beret in the centre. I shaded them using Spectrum Noir pencils and added the sentiment, which is from Julie Hickey’s ‘positive wishes’.

To finish, I ran a black Sharpie around the edge of the topper, popped it onto a pink layer of card and then attached it to an A6 card blank.

I thought this sentiment was perfect. I’m blessed to have some very good friends who are just like extended family.
