Welcome to my crafty blog. Another quick card today – for some reason I’ve been really tired all day, although that may have something to do with the fact that my sister came to stay for the weekend and we’ve been out & about in London. I’m clearly out of practice!
I’ve taken inspiration from a couple of blog challenges for this card. The layout is from TGIF challenges and I also picked up the diagonal from top right on TicTacToe‘s grid (sentiment, blu, friendship).

I started with a piece of white card and ran it through Stampin’ Up!’s ‘brick & mortar’ embossing folder before attaching it to a 6×6 card blank.

I then stamped one of the plant pots from my new SU ‘plentiful plants’ set, using ‘chipped sapphire’ Distress Oxide and die cut it out. I did the same with the leafy spray after stamping it in ‘bundled sage’. I then used a torn piece of copy paper and a sponge to add some ink to the brick wall, to give my plant pot ground to stand on, and added the pot and leaves using foam pads.

To finish, I stamped on of Clarity’s ‘word sticker’ stamps in the ‘chipped sapphire’ and trimmed it down. That went onto the card using foam pads, and I added a few dark blue Glossies to finish.

Thanks for dropping in. I’ll be back tomorrow to share another card.
I love your less-is-more cards! Fantastic 🙂
