Welcome to my crafty blog on a very grey and wet day in the UK. I’m so glad we went to the flower show yesterday – it wouldn’t have been much fun today with all this rain. I’m continuing on my floral theme, however, inspired by this week’s ‘flower power’ challenge at Global Design Project, which I’ve paired with the colour palette from Color Throwdown

I started with a 6×6 kraft card blank and scattered a little WOW bright white ultra high embossing powder onto it, which I carefully heated. I then cut one of Julie Hickey’s narrow square frames and glued that into place before stamping the sentiment from Stampin’ Up!’s ‘Artistically Inked’ set and embossing that in superfine bright white powder.

I then cut the large floral spray from SU’s ‘Artistic’ dies in white card, and used a ‘smoky slate’ alcohol blends marker to colour the leaves.

I finished by popping a little glue on the centre of the flowers and attaching the whole piece to the card front.

Thanks for dropping in. I’ve got some new plants from yesterday that need a home in the garden, but if it doesn’t stop raining I’ll just have to stay indoors and craft!
Gorgeous!
