Welcome to my crafty blog. Today’s card will be heading over to a friend who’s just finished a course of chemotherapy, and has absolutely been rocking her turbans over the last few months! The ‘hats’ stamp set from Claritystamp fitted the bill perfectly, and I teamed it with one of their designer papers from the ‘Antarctica’ series.
I started by stamping the large head from the set, initially onto white card which I then fussy cut. I stamped it again onto the designer paper, where the pattern was very light, and cut it out on the line of the stamp. I then stamped it a third time onto a darker piece of the paper and just cut out the turban.

I trimmed a piece of white card to fit a 5×7 card bank, and then cut narrow strips of the ‘Antarctica’ paper. I stuck then to the white card, alternating them between the lighter and darker pieces. I added the sentiment from Stampendous’ ‘Bible Verses’ set in ‘cobalt’ Archival ink and then attached the whole piece to a card blank.

I glued the three hat pieces together, and then attached the whole piece to the front of the card to finish.

I haven’t done any paper piecing for a little while now – I’d forgotten how much I actually enjoy it. I’m not brilliant at colouring so it’s a great way to add colour to stamped images. I’m sharing this card over at CAS Colours & Sketches as I used this week’s sketch for inspiration on the layout.

I love this card! I can only image the recipient will cherish it! Cheers, MK

That stamp is s unusual Deborah but the paper piecing works a treat – love it! The verse is so appropriate too. Thanks for sharing with us over at CAS Colours & Sketches this week!
