Welcome to my crafty blog. Here’s another Christmas card, inspired by a couple of this week’s challenges – Less Is More have declared it ‘Christmas in July’, and Just Add Ink have got a very festive inspiration photo.

I decided to go with Stampin’ Up!’s ‘Peaceful Noel’ set (now retired), as I thought it would pick up the style of Just Add Ink’s photo. I cut a piece of card to fit an A6 card blank, and then stamped the leaves and berries across the top edge to look like a swag using SU’s ‘evening evergreen’ and ‘soft succulent’, with ‘festive berries’ Distress Oxide for the berries.

I added ‘Noel’ under the leaves and heat embossed it with WOW ‘gold satin’ powder. At this point, I felt the berries looked a bit flat, so restamped them with WOW’s clear ink and embossed them with ‘cranberry sparkle’ (although it doesn’t show up very well in the photos).

I think this is likely to be one I’ll be making more of, as it’s an easy process for batch making cards.
Merry Christmas! Love the card!🎄

Fabulous card, I’m really loving the placement along the top edge and all that gorgeous white space below, CAS at its best. Thanks so much for sharing with us at Less is More, Anita x
