Welcome to my crafty blog and my second post of the day. This one is a diamond wedding anniversary card that I was asked to make, and I’ve dug back into my stash of Claritystamps for some old favourites.
I started with the word stamp that has 1 Corinthians 13 on it, and repeat stamped it on a piece of white card that I’d trimmed to the same length as an A5 card blank. I heat embossed the stamped words with WOW superfine metallic silver powder and then added a strip of silver glitter card down each side before attaching it to the centre of the card blank.

I die cut two small squares, using Clarity’s nested dies, one in white and the second from the silver glitter card. I heat embossed a silver ’60th’ onto the white square using Clarity’s ‘letterbox numbers’ with it orientated into a diamond. both diamonds went onto the card front using foam pads, and I stamped & die cut the little bouquet of flowers from Stampin’ Up!’s ‘art gallery’ set. That sat nicely to the left of the two diamonds, again on foam pads.

The final part was to die cut a banner, and then heat emboss it with ‘anniversary’ and ‘blessings’ from Clarity’s ‘essential sentiments’ set. The banner went across the flowers and diamonds to finish the card.

I was really pleased with how this turned out – I wasn’t sure about using silver embossing, as it’s for a diamond wedding, but I think it’s worked well. You may have spotted that I’ve used the same layout as yesterday’s card, courtesy of Freshly Made Sketches. I’ve also picked up the centre row from Tic Tac Toe‘s grid – bouquet, embossing and glitter.

Beautiful! Love the embossing!
