Welcome to my crafty blog. I’m sitting here watching tennis at Wimbledon, so had to go wiht strawberries for this card! I also took inspiration from a couple of challenges with the layout from Freshly Made Sketches. I’ve picked up the theme of ‘farmhouse chic’ from TGIF challenges – I love homemade strawberry jam, and could just envisage a farmhouse with strawberry pots growing outside the back door, and a large bowl of them sitting on a lovely checked tablecloth on the kitchen table

I started by cutting a piece of the Stampin’ Up! checked paper to fit a 6×6 card blank, and die cut a square out of the centre.

I then stamped and punched out a couple of strawberries and flowers from SU’s ‘sweet strawberry’ set. I also stamped two of the two leaf and flower sprays – I used a waterbrush and Distress Oxide to colour the leaves and then fussy cut them as they are not on the punch. Once done, I glued the flower sprays on either corner of the central square and then attached the strawberries and extra flowers using foam pads.

To finish, I stamped the sentiment onto a small piece of white card and attached it below the strawberries.

Thanks for dropping in. These berries look very tasty, but I do think I’m going to need something stronger than strawberries though to get me through the tension of watching Andy Murray’s current match – nail biting stuff!
Lovely card – and yes, I also found the match nerve-wracking! So pleased for Andy!
