Welcome to my crafty blog. I’m back with a second card today, inspired by Claritystamp’s very own Barbara Gray who hosted a ‘pyjama party’ yesterday evening as part of Clarity’s Open Day Festival (as we can’t all get together in person this year). Barbara did a fabulous card using the ‘butterfly wreath’ stamp set, and this is my take on it just using the smaller of the sets.
I started by stamping the wreath onto a square of white card, using ‘pebble beach’ Archival ink. I used my stamping platform for this, so that I could then add a strip of kraft card and restamp the wreath to flow over it.

I added the small butterfly onto the kraft card, together with some of the additional leaves and flowers along the bottom, before colouring them all in using Spectrum Noir pencils in red, pink, green and light brown.

Next was to stamp the larger butterfly onto white card and blend the red and pink across its wings, before fussy cutting it and attaching to the wreath. I decided at this point that the small butterfly looked a bit flat, so restamped that onto white card, shaded it in and fussy cut it to then sit on the original image.

The topper then went onto a 6×6 kraft card blank. I found the perfect sentiment in the Clarity word stickers, which I mounted on kraft card before attaching to the card front to finish.

I’m going to share this card over at a couple of challenges, as I took the colours from this week’s Color Throwdown and the layout from Freshly Made Sketches

Love the wreath spanning the white and kraft panels! This design illustrates the lovely sentiment perfectly. Thanks for playing along with us at FMS this week.
