Welcome to my crafty blog. I’m now up to October 2014 and the ‘live laugh love’ sentiment stamp in my journey back through Claritystamp’s new design club. This is a great sentiment for engagement or wedding cards, or just to send someone an uplifting message.

IT’s a bit more of a grungy style than I would usually use, but I decided it would work well for this card if I embossed it on WOW ‘metallic gold’ powder onto a piece of white card cut to fit on a 5×7 card blank. I also added a strip of Clarity’s ‘Antarctica’ designer paper down the side of the topper before attaching it to the card blank.

I then cut the flower triplet that was the new design club die #20 from Clarity. I used the ‘Antarctica’ paper for these as well, and then snipped them out of the frame once cut. Don’t tell anyone, but these are actually hemlock flowers, which is highly poisonous – maybe not the best choice for an uplifting card…!

I finished the card by just adding a few Glossies in a pale blue/green, to pick up the tones in the paper.

I’m going to share this card over at the current Fusion card challenge, as I took inspiration from both the sketch and the photo. I thought the sentiment picked up the poster on the wall, and I used the colour tones for my choice of paper.

Different style for you I think – but still great!
