Claritystamp new design club lookback – flower stem #95

Welcome to my crafty blog. It’s Sunday and so time for the next in my lookback series through the Claritystamp new design club. Today it’s the flower stem from September 2014, and I’ve used it in a card with the colours from this week’s Just Add Ink challenge and the sketch & photo from Inspired by

I started with Clarity’s small circle backdrop stamp onto a piece of white card using ‘speckled egg’ Distress Oxide. I then inked up the ‘flower stem’ using ‘picked raspberry’ and ‘evergreen bough’ and stamped it into the circle.

I then inked the infill stamp from the ‘Love – feel good words’ stamp in the ‘evergreen bough’ and added it across the bottom of the circle, together with the ‘& kisses’ from the same set. It was about time I’d used this one, as I bought it a few months ago!

I finished by blending the ‘evergreen bough’ around the edge of a slightly larger piece of white card and mounted the topper onto that. I added a little strip of pink hearts at the top of the circle and then attached it to a 5×7 card blank.

I really enjoy mixing new and older stamp sets – it gives them so much more mileage and I like getting a new perspective on the old sets.
