Welcome to my crafty blog. Today’s card uses another one of the stamps from Julie Hickey’s gorgeous ‘floral foliage’ set. I love the double outline on these leaves, which makes them great for embossing. I took inspiration for the design from this week’s layout over at Freshly Made Sketches – I tried to push my interpretation of the sketch a little.

I started with a square of white card and used a plate to draw a curve onto it! That gave me the guideline for the edge of the leaves. I used the small leaf spray from the set and repeat stamped it with WOW clear ink before heat embossing them with ‘gold pearl’ powder ( I did them one at a time).

I then coloured the leaves using ‘mellow green’ Artistry ink and a waterbrush. Once dry I stamped the sentiment from Julie’s ‘florals for you’ and again heat embossed it with the ‘gold pearl’.

All I then needed to do was attach the topper to a 6×6 card blank – I decided it didn’t need any other embellishments.

Thanks for dropping in. We’ve finally got some sunshine here after a very wet and windy week – apparently it’s been one of the wettest May’s on record here in the UK. I’m praying for better weather next week so I can get out of the house for some decent walks. Take care everyone.
Lovely 🥰

Such a great way to create the curved edge just with your leaf image! Thanks for playing along with us at FMS.
