Welcome to my crafty blog. This little blog is one year old this week – it’s gone so fast and I’ve learned so much! I decided to buy a little bloggy present, so have treated myself to some photoboards to give my cards a more professional look. You can see the first one in this photo – they really do make a difference instead of propping my card on a shelf. I found these from a great UK company made by photographer Lynsey James from her own images – read more about them here www.photoboards.org/
Today’s card is inspired by the layout at FreshlyMadeSketches, and this is a bit of a last minute entry!

I started with a piece of card trimmed down to fit a 6×6 card blank and the Claritystamp ‘seaweed’ stencil. I masked off the stencil to just give me one of the twisty sections and then brushed ‘iced spruce’ Distress Oxide through it.

I next stamped out the large flower from Stampin’ Up!’s ‘forever & always’ set, using ‘dried marigold’ with a little’ripe persimmon’ in the centre. I stamped four leaves in the ‘iced spruce’ and then die cut all five pieces.

All I then needed to do was attach the flower with a foam pad to sit on the stripy line, and add in the leaves using glue. I finished by stamping the sentiment from the ‘punch party’ sale-a-bration set, again using ‘iced spruce’.

Thanks for dropping in, and for all your support over the last year. I started by only blogging once or twice a week and have now stepped up to every day since Christmas. Here’s to the next year on my blogging journey!
