Welcome to my crafty blog. I’ve just got the brand new daisies stamp sets from Julie Hickey Designs, and couldn’t wait to have a play with them. This is the ‘sweet daisies’ set – I love how fresh these images are. I’ve taken the colour scheme from this week’s challenge over at Fab Friday – I thought the shades were just perfect for spring daisies

I started by stamping the double daisies in black Archival onto a piece of white A6 card, and then added the single daisy to nestle in next to them.

I then covered the daisy heads with masks cut from sticky notes and brushed ‘spun sugar’ Distress Ink gently outwards from the flowers, to give a hint of colour in the background. I added a little yellow to the flower heads with a Spectrum Noir pencil, and used a jade green for the stems.

Finally I stamped one of the sentiments from the set against the flowers, again in black Archival, and attached the topper to an A6 card blank.

A simple card to brighten a very grey Monday! I’m doing a Facebook live with Julie Hickey on Friday using these new stamps – really looking forward to it
Beautiful 😊
