Here we are on day 2 of my personal challenge to use the stamps from the 2020 Claritystamp monthly New Design Club. Today’s cards use February’s stamp, which was a floral banner and a small ‘with love’ stamp.
For the larger card, I started by brushing Distress Oxide ink in ‘speckled egg’ around the edges of a square of white card. I then stamped the long leaf chain from the Clarity ‘happy birday’ set in Archival ‘fern green’ across the top and bottom of the card before adding the banner into the centre.

I then shaded in the leaves and flowers using my Spectrum Noir pencils. The flowers are a pale blue with yellow centres – if I do this card again I think I’ll use a stronger colour to make them ‘pop’ a bit more.

All I then needed to do was run a black Sharpie around the edge of the card square before attaching it to a 6×6 white card blank. Those flowers definitely need to be a brighter colour to stand out.

I made a couple more quick cards with the stamp, using some off cuts of the Clarity designer paper. These two pieces are from the ‘Amazonia’ & ‘Antarctica’ set. I again stamped the banner using a co-ordinating ink (green for the Amazonia and blue for the Antarctica), and coloured the little flowers and leaves with Spectrum Noir pencils. Both pieces then went onto coloured mats before attaching to A6 card blanks.

That’s it for now. I’ll be back later with the New Design Club February die, but first we’ll be heading out for a walk and then it’s the family get together on Zoom (probably with an online game!). And of course, there are more chocolates and biscuits to be eaten!
