Hello, and welcome. I’m posting a second blog today, with a card I’ve been batch making for a colleague at work to give out. She only wants 110 making to send to all her staff…!! Having to make such a large number meant I needed to find a design that was relatively straight forward, and I turned to the Stampin Up! ‘forever fern’ set from the new catalogue.
I built the scene in the lower lefthand corner of the card. I really like stamping off the page, and this is a good way to make the design flow if you’re not planning to use a border or mount. I started with the three leaf stamps – and this is where my stamping platform came into it’s own, as I could stamp all three at the same time using Distress ink in ‘bundled sage’. Once you’ve got them all lined up, it’s very quick to then keep stamping multiple cards.

Next was to add in the buds from the set, in ‘peacock feathers’, again using the stamping platform

I then finished it with the small dots stamp from the set, in ‘wild honey’. These little stamps are a great way to pull together a group of images. It was quicker to stamp these by hand, rather than use the stamping platform

Finally I added the sentiment from the ‘Flourishing Phrases’ set. And that was 30 cards produced in about an hour.

So very soft and pretty! Love the CAS design!
