Blessings bookmark

Hello, and welcome to my little craft blog. I’m sharing some bookmarks today that I was asked to make by a friend for a group she’s been leading at her church. This Bible verse from Numbers is known as the priestly blessing, and I use it a lot. It’s on a stamp I’ve had for a long time by Stampendous

I cut a piece of A5 white card into 5.5cm strips (I got 3 out of each piece) and then stamped the verse in the centre using Archival Ink in ‘watering can’. I used the leafy branch stamp from Claritystamp’s ‘fly away’ set for the top part, stamping it in Adirondack ‘mountain rose’. I then stamped the small trees landscape from Clarity’s ‘Up, up and away’ set at the bottom, using Archival Ink in’ fern green, and coloured them in with my Spectrum Noir pencils

I love the way the stamps build a little scene around the blessing. I finished each bookmark by edging them with a black Sharpie, then punched a hole at the top for a piece of matching ribbon

Thanks for dropping in. There’s a brilliant song called The Blessing, which is based on this Bible verse. You can find it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUtll3mNj5U
