Hello. welcome to my little crafty blog. Just a quick post with a card I’ve made for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches blog challenge #431 by LeeAnn at https://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/

I’ve been spending some of my free time when i’m not at work catching up with the daily doodle sessions being posted by Barbara Gray on the Claritystamp YouTube channel. Definitely worth checking out if you haven’t seen them. I’m so happy with what I’ve been able to create, having always thought my drawing ability only extended as far as producing a straight line with a ruler! So when I saw the sketch, I thought about the Doodleology Square stamp that was sitting in my craft stash

I stamped the larger of the squares on a 125mm square card, off-setting it to the right to for with the sketch design

The stamp set comes with shapes to fill in the white spaces in the square , so I used Distress Ink in Faded Jeans, Peeled Paint and Wild Honey to add colour in the spaces. I liked the mottled effect from the ink

Finally, I cut a strip of white card and stamped “have a wonderful day”, one of the small phrases from the “Everyday Sentiments” set by Julie Hickey. This will be a great card for one of the chaps I know when his birthday comes round.
Well that’s a fun stamp set! I have not seen anything like it. Love what you did with it; it turned out to be a great masculine card. Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!
