Welcome to my crafty blog. I’m back with another sympathy card today (replenishing my stock which is sadly depleted). I’ve gone for a very simple design, keeping it really stripped back, inspired by this week’s theme over at TGIF Challenges http://www.tgifchallenges.blogspot.com I’ve used the ‘Poppies’ unmounted clear stamp set from Claritystamp, and started by simply… Read More Simple sympathy
Today is the Feast of Epiphany in the Christian calendar, making the visitation of the Magi (or Wise Men) to Jesus and his parents in Bethlehem. They are described in the Gospel of St Matthew in the New Testament, although the Bible doesn’t say how many there were. The Eastern (Orthodox) churches have as many… Read More We Three Kings (or Wise Men)
So, it’s the last of my ’12 Dies of Clarity’ challenge posts today, this time with the ‘ivy leaves’ aperture die that was December’s New Design Club from Claritystamp. This is a gorgeous die, and I used the inspiration from Dee Paramour on the project sheet as a basis for this sympathy card. I started… Read More 12 Dies of Clarity – day 12 December’s ‘ivy leaves’ aperture
Well here we are on the final day of my ’12 Days of Clarity’ challenge! Am feeling very chuffed that I made it right through – it seemed like a good idea to keep me occupied over the Christmas period (and stop me eating all the biscuits!) and I’ve really enjoyed it, but it has… Read More 12 Days of Clarity – day 12 December’s ‘winter’ stamp
My second blog of the day, this time with the November die from the Claritystamp New Design Club. These holly birds are so lovely cut in gold card, that I stripped the design right back from what I had originally planned. Clearly, I started by cutting the die into a piece of gold satin effect… Read More 12 Dies of Clarity – day 11 November’s ‘holly birds’ aperture die
Welcome to my crafty blog on day 11 of my ’12 Days of Clarity’ challenge. Today’s card uses the November ‘sing your song’ stamp from Claritystamp’s New Design Club. A friend had asked me to make her some new year cards to send to people she hadn’t managed to get Christmas cards for, and I… Read More 12 Days of Clarity – day 11 November’s ‘sing your song’ stamp
It’s Sunday evening and I’m now sharing the card I’ve made with the ‘leafy stag die that was November’s New Design Club from Claritystamp. One of my friends was sharing photos of the deer in Richmond Park over New Year, which inspired this card of a wintry morning, although it’s not gone entirely according to… Read More 12 Dies of Clarity – day 10 October’s ‘leafy stag’ aperture die
So it’s day 10 of my Clarity challenge and I’m making Christmas cards in January. I’ve never made any ahead of September before, and my sons are now very confused! However, as October’s New Design Club stamp was this ‘holly & ivy’ square, it was a bit of a no brainer ( and there are… Read More 12 Days of Clarity – day 10 October’s ‘holly & ivy’ stamp
I’m back again, this time with day 9 of my ’12 Dies of Clarity’ challenge, using ‘a bird in the hand’ aperture die that was September’s New Design Club from Claritystamp. This is yet another one that I haven’t used until now, and I was again grateful for the project sheet which had some design… Read More 12 Dies of Clarity – day 9 September’s ‘a bird in the hand’ aperture
Welcome to my crafty blog where I’m now on day 9 of my ’12 Days of Clarity’ challenge, using the ‘gothic key’ stamp from Claritystamp’s September New Design Club. Yet another one that hadn’t been out of it’s packet until today. I needed to make another new home card, and took the inspiration from Dee… Read More 12 Days of Clarity – day 9 September’s ‘gothic key’ stamp
