Hello everyone and welcome to Seasonal Saturday! We may be having a mini heatwave in the UK at the moment (it was 29C when I was driving home this afternoon, and forecast to be hotter tomorrow and Monday!), but that hasn’t stopped my weekly Christmas card production! I’ve kept it monochrome this week, with the Build a Landscape Christmas stamps and the Christmas BOW-WOB papers.

I opted to start with the white snowflake BOW-WOB paper and cut a piece to cover a 5×5 card blank. I always cut it fractionally larger so I can trim it back exactly with my guillotine after gluing down with Pritt stick.

Next was to cut a 3″ square of premium card, onto which I stamped the little town from the landscape set in black Versafine Clair ink – it wasn’t quite wide enough for the card, so I repeated it to take it right across. I added the largest star in the set, then scattered both sizes of four pointed stars around the sky.

I added a little shading below the buildings with a Polychromo pencil, followed by a narrow black mount, then attached it onto the card. The final touch was one of the Christmas & Celebrations word stickers.

I rather like this monochrome card – I think the images work really well. The black & white theme was inspired by the current challenge at Inspire.Create and I turned Freshly Made Sketches’ layout into a square card. Finally my seasonal theme obviously works for Holly & Ivy Challenge.
