Hello everyone. We’re halfway to the weekend already and there’s lovely warm weather forecast over here, so I thought I’d share a pretty scene of flowers with one of the Floral Spray printed cards – they’re perfect for just adding a bit of colour and a simple sentiment (I went with the Tall Feel Good set) when you need something quick and easy.

I took the lovely Star Flower card (these images are also available as stamps) and started by adding a landscape into the background. I lightly brushed ‘mowed lawn’ Distress Oxide across the Hills mask for the ground, followed by ‘tumbled glass’ with the Clouds mask to create the sky. Obviously, I didn’t have a mask to cover the flowers, so was just very careful where I brushed the ink, doing my best to avoid them!

I took a rainbow of Polychromo pencils to shade in the flowers and leaves – always lovely to just spend a quiet few minutes shading an image.

The final touch was one of the Feel Good sentiments in black Archival – a good mantra to live by!

Thanks for dropping in. I’m really looking forward to a sunny and warm weekend and some time out with the family, especially after our recent chilly grey rainy days!
Before then, though, I’m going to share this card with the challenges at Beautiful Blossoms and 613 Avenue Create.

So pretty! That’s cool that the images come in a card pack. You did a great job creating that background!
