Hello crafty friends. I’ve got another look at the new Hopi Dancers collection today, this time with the Rain Caller from the Water trio. Don’t you think she just has the most elegant pose?

My starting point was a piece of card that I mopped up Distress Inks onto, with a blend of ‘picked raspberry’ and ‘dried marigold’ – I simply squished the inks onto a craft mat, spritzed them with water and picked the colours up on a piece of Clarity’s premium card. In fact, I’ve got a whole folder of these mop-ups in various colours from cleaning my craft mat, as I can’t bear to waste the ink! Anyway, having got my background sorted, I stamped the solid Rain Caller image onto the card using black Versafine Clair ink.

She’s such a fantastic image that I decided she didn’t need any other embellishment and I simply added a black mount. I cut two strips of black card with one of the Doodle Scallop Frame-It Panel dies, glued them across the centre of a 7×7 card blank and added my Hopi Dancer on top. The final touch was one of the Woodblock word stickers.

So, what do you think of today’s Hopi Dancer? She’s definitely been calling the rain – we’ve had several showers today! Thankfully there is warmer weather on the way for the weekend. And she’ll be making an appearance in the Color Dare gallery, as her background has taken two of the colours from their palette.

The stamps are unique and so is what you are creating with them. This is great.
