Hello everyone! We’ve got a new challenge for you at Addicted to Stamps & More and we’ve rotated back round to our Christmas theme – which gives me a bonus card into my seasonal stash this week!

I’ve picked up another of the new Statement Sentiment stamps for this, together with the co-ordinating Statement Sentiment Frames (such a great idea!) and the KISS Celebrate Your Day Flowers – they’re not obviously Christmas flowers and I’ve added another twist again with non-traditional colours.

This was pretty simple to make! I cut a topper for an A6 card blank, stamped the frame onto it in ‘watering can’ Archival ink and added the sentiment inside it using ‘villainous potion’ Distress Oxide. Having cut a mask from Clarity’s blank material, I covered the frame and sentiment so I could stamp the group of flowers over the corner. I was going to leave it there, but spotted the little corner flower in the set too, so added that on the opposite side.

I then went in with my Polychromo pencils, shading the flowers with ‘cobalt green’ and the leaves with ‘earth green yellowish’, before adding an outline to the frame with the ‘violet’ pencil. I then simply attached it to the A6 card blank to finish.

These colours worked well, I think – and would also look good if I switched them round, using the purple on the flowers and the turquoise for the sentiment (one to add to the list!) Thanks therefore go to The Paper Players for the colour palette; I’m also going to share this with Holly & Ivy Challenge for their ‘anything goes’ theme.
