Good morning everyone! I’d delighted to be sharing this card with you, as I’ve been invited along as guest designer by the AAA Colourful team for their new challenge! I love this bright colourboard and, unusually for me, decided to pick out the green as the main colour for my card using the Mother Nature set from Timestamp Creations (I’d normally go with the blues & pinks).
My starting point was a 3.5″ square of Clarity’s premium card, using a small square embedder to create a frame around the edge of it. I then stamped the image in ‘peeled paint’ Distress Oxide and heat embossed it with clear powder.
I then simply added a flash of colour to the image with Polychromo pencils – ‘rose carmine’ for the flowers and ‘light phthalo blue’ for the butterfly and daisies (both pencils are from the ‘summer’ set). I stamped the sentiment from Timestamp’s Millie the Dog set, again with the ‘peeled paint’. I found an olive green offcut of companion paper, part covered a 5×5 card blank and popped the topper into place on it.
