Ginkgo love

Hello everyone. I’m back with another look at one of the new Floral Spray greeting cards and this time opted for a little hot foiling and simple watercolouring on the ginkgo leaves design.

This time round I chose one of the cards that already has a greeting printed on it and started by running it through my laminator with a piece of Clarity’s gold Hot Foil. The laser printed images on the card take the foil perfectly – such an easy way to lift the image.

I then simply put a little ‘chipped sapphire’ Distress Oxide onto a mix mat, then picked it up with a waterbrush to colour the ginkgo leaves.

And that was it – it really didn’t need anything else! I didn’t manage to catch the launch show for these cards this afternoon, so it’s on my viewing list for this evening.

I’m also going to share this with a couple of current challenges. I took the blue & gold colours from AAA Colourful and the ‘botanical’ theme from CAS on Friday
