Hello crafty friends. I’m still busy stencilling on my cards with the new Decorative Panel collection – this time I’ve gone for a wraparound design on a 4×4 card blank using the Woodland Panel to make a simple masculine card.

This is an easy one layer card and I laid the woodland panel stencil directly onto the 4×4 card blank, having opened it out fully. I popped a mini moon mask underneath the trees and then brushed ‘tumbled glass’ and ‘gathered twigs’ Distress Inks over the whole thing, blending the two colours together where they overlapped. I lifted the moon mask before I removed the stencil, so I could add a little more blue over it (I didn’t add any more ink to my brush) and differentiate it from the trees. I then simply stamped one of the Wee Folk and an I Am Essential – Birthday sentiment onto the card front and it was done!

Here’s the view of the card front when folded, but don’t you think the wraparound makes it looks so much more expensive?

And that’s all there was to it! I’m sharing this with a couple of the masculine card challenges, as both The Male Room and Cardz4Guyz have got ‘blue & brown’ as their themes.
