Kingfisher at dusk

Hello crafty friends. I’ve got the final one of my demo’s from last Friday’s Clarity Social TV shows to share with you today – a quick and easy one using the Feathered Friends Miniatures stamps and one of the Dawn & Dusk Landscape toppers.

I decided to go for an evening look on this card, so picked out one of the ‘dusk’ toppers (all the designs come in two colourways, for dawn and dusk). I ran low tack tape down the left hand side and stamped the branch with black Archival ink.

Next was to stamp the kingfisher onto a piece of Clarity’s super smooth paper, colour him with Polychromo pencils in orange and turquoise and then fussy cut him.

I then simply attached him to the topper using Pritt glue stick. To finish, I cut the topper to a square, ran a black Sharpie around the edges and added one of the Woodblock word stickers. I embossed a frame onto a 6×6 card blank using a square embedder and a ball tool and popped the topper in the centre. Now, I said the designs come in two colour ways and so I recreated it on the equivalent ‘dawn’ topper as well – which do you prefer?

These toppers do make life so easy when you need a quick card – they work really well with all Clarity’s silhouette stamps as well. These make great masculine cards, (I’ve got a couple of friends who enjoy birdwatching) so I’m going to share this with Make My Monday
