Rainbow sampler flowers

Hello again – back with a second card today and a second look at the new Floral Spray Sampler stamps that were released a couple of weeks ago. After using four of the images and a single colour on last week’s pink creation, I’ve gone with a single stamp this time and rainbow colours.

My starting point was not with the stamp from the sampler set, but instead with a 5×5 card blank and the smallest of the rectangle embedders, using that to emboss a frame on the front of the card with a ball tool. I then lightly sponged ‘tumbled glass’ Distress Ink around the edges of the Bijou Square Backdrop stamps and planted them into the frame.

Having then stamped the floral sampler image into the top background area, I coloured it with Perga colour pens (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet and indigo), finishing with one of the sentiments from the Just Wheels & Wings stamp set.

Thanks have to go to Seize the Birthday for their ‘rainbow of colours’ prompt on this one, otherwise it would probably have been my usual pink & blue tones!

  1. I love how you’ve brought the focus on the flowers by using those emossing effects. Softening the stamped frame actually makes it look like the panel is embossed twice (along with the actual embossed part) and I love that clever idea! The multi colored flowers look lovely and actually remind me of wild gardens. Thank you so much for joining us at the Seize the Birthday challenge with this wonderful card, Deborah!
