Folkart collage topper

Hello everyone. I’ve got another look at the new Folkart stamps to start the week, this time creating a scene on one of the small Collage Landscape Print toppers. These toppers are a great little set, featuring the designs from the online handcut Collage workshops that Barbara ran last year (they’re still available to work through – and there’s a new one coming this Saturday, which I’ve signed up for)

I selected one of the ‘lighthouse’ prints and then set about building my scene with a few of the stamps, using black Archival ink for them all.

I added a few finishing touches to the scene, with a white Posca pen for the sheep fleeces, the dotty stamp for a pathway to the houses and shading with a grey Polychromo pencil to ground the images. Having added one of the Art Deco sentiments, I ran a black Sharpie around the card edges. Picking out a 5×5 card blank for the base, I embossed a frame onto it using a square embedder and a ball toolbefore sitting the topper within it.

These stamps are such a great addition to Clarity’s Build a Landscape collection – I can see them getting a lot of use, as they’re perfect for quick and easy cards with any of the printed toppers.
