Hello friends. I’ve had a busy day today prepping a few demos, as I’m back on Clarity Social TV tomorrow (Friday) at 10am & 2pm showcasing some of their framer and wreath stamps. I thought I’d tempt you in with the Holly Framer stamp set, but I’ll be moving on towards Spring tomorrow morning…

One of the things I love about Clarity’s framer stamps is that you can realign them to change their shape a little – and they’ll ping straight back to the original after you take them off the mount! Anyway, I stretched the framer stamp slightly on my mount to be more of an oval shape and stamped it onto a piece of card that I’d trimmed to fit on an A6 card blank.

I shaded in the leaves, berries and stars with my Polychromo pencils, smoothing out the pigment with Dorso oil and a blending nib. You can see the difference this makes in the close-up below – the leaves on the left have been blended with the Dorso oil.

I added the two robins from the set, perching them at the bottom of the frame and colouring them with the Polychromos, before adding the ‘peace on earth’ sentiment. Finally, I covered the front of an A6 card blank with Shenandoah companion paper and sat the topper onto it.

I’ve got lots planned for tomorrow’s shows, so I do hope you can join me (or catch up afterwards when you’ve got time). I drew on a couple of current blog challenges for this little card – the colours are from Creative Colour Challenges and the theme from The Paper Players. I’m off now to finish packing my supplies and then get a good night’s sleep ready for an early start tomorrow!

Beautiful holly image and those Robins are lovely. Apparently a European Robin landed on our eastern shores a while back and became a huge draw for all birders.
