Hello friends! I’ve been busy making a pile of thank you cards for my son & his partner to send out for the generous pile of gifts my grandson received for his recent birthday & baptism – quite a few of the presents are stored in the loft to bring out in the summer as he got a load of Christmas goodies too! As I was making a batch of cards, I wanted to keep it fairly simple and remembered the little BIP the Bear image on my personalised stamps set, which paired beautifully with the new Art Deco sentiments.

I decided to go with the stencil card toppers and designer card mounts from the Mini Makes collection – these are actually designed for ATCs (artists’ trading cards), but they also make great little toppers for cards. I stamped BIP onto each of them, added the sentiment next to him and shaded in his fur with Polychromo pencils.

I then attached each of them onto one of the designer card mounts. That may seem an odd order to do it in, but it meant that I could then shade BIP’s hat and gift to co-ordinate with the card colours.

Having got them all mounted and coloured, it was a simple matter to attach each one to an A6 card blank.

The nice thing about using these ATC cards & mounts for the batch of cards (I’ve made 20!) is that each one is different thanks to varying the colours. Just makes it feel a bit more personal, I think. As well as getting all these cards sent out, I’m going to share this one in the gallery at Simply Clean & Simple – I haven’t taken their optional twist to use something new.
