Hello crafty friends. I’m looking ahead to spring today after yesterday’s Christmas outing, with Tina’s Floral Spray (one of my all-time favourite images) and using part of the Deerscape mask to plant it, together with the Art Deco sentiments (Clarity’s product of the month).

Having cut a piece of card to fit on an A6 card blank, I laid the grass area across the bottom and brushed ‘rustic wilderness’ Distress Oxide across it, using a sponge to drag ink down from the mask to sharpen the image (I love the detail on this mask)

I stamped the floral spray to the side using black Archival ink, then shaded it with yellow & green Polychromo pencils for a spring look, dotting the little flower sprigs with a dark blue Pergacolour pen.

I then simply added one of the Art Deco sentiments and attached the topper to a 6×6 card blank. Nice and simple.

You know I love a clean look on a card and this is right in my happy place! I based the layout on the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, took the spring palette from Creative Colour Challenges and added in the ‘blooms’ aspect from Triple B.
