Hello everyone and welcome to my last post of 2025! It doesn’t seem 5 minutes since we were welcoming this year in and yet so much has happened since then – I must be getting old! Anyway, I’m continuing my lookback through the 2025 Clarity Craft Club stamps and these hippie chicks are definitely out for fun in their camper van, looking for a good venue to welcome in the New Year.

So here’s the process. I stamped the camper van onto one of Clarity’s 3.5″ squares of stencil card and covered it with the mask I’d cut when using this set earlier in the year. I could then blend a rainbow background using several Distress Oxide inks – from the bottom I went with ‘wilted violet’, ‘chipped sapphire’, ‘mowed lawn’, ‘mustard seed’, ‘carved pumpkin’ and ‘festive berries’.

After removing the mask, I used the infill stamps to colour the image, with ‘antique linen’ for the van and ‘black soot’ on the lettering. I used Polychromo pencils to shade in the rest of the details (the two chicks and the front of the van).

I added 2026 from the Alphabet & Numbers Word Chain set in black Archival ink, edged the topper with a black Sharpie and sat it within an embossed frame that I’d created on the front of a 5×5 card blank with a square embedder and embossing tool.

So I wish you all a very happy and healthy New Year, however you celebrate – I’ve got a quiet evening at home with the cat, but we’re out for a family meal tomorrow. See you all on the other side of 2026!
